I am going to talk about the Synonym and the Antonym of a word.

An Synonym is the same meaning as the word and what it actually means, and an Antonym is the opposite of a word than the meaning of a word. These where the words we used and the Synonym and Antonym of it.

Letter to Room 6

Dear Room 6

I just wanted to say thanks for making me feel great about being here, and I liked it how Miss Garland became our teacher.

I have had a lot of fun at HNI school and at first I thought everyone would hate me like at primary school and for a little while, yes they did but all of that went away really quickly. Also it was nice to have some people who cared about me and it was nice to have some friends too, and I really don’t want Miss Garland to stop being my teacher.

I loved having Miss Garland as a teacher, but not as much as Miss August she was very nice to me almost as nice as Miss Garland. Also it would be pretty funny to see how Miss Garland looks after I tell her that I almost liked Miss August better the her.

The embarrassing part was when we were in assembly, I was about to hiccup in front of the whole school and it was very embarrassing. So it was  very hard not to hiccup but I had to and I just couldn’t help myself, but no one heard which was a relief because other wise I would of been really embarrassed.

Next year when I am a year 8, I will try to achieve more goal than I did in my life and try to do so many things.

Flight take: About 24 hours.

Getting there: On a Plane.

Plane Cost: $2000.

Petrol: $50.

Total Petrol Cost: $1200.

Amount for flight: $1000 per adult, $500 per child and $30 per pet.

Family: 2 adults, 3 children and 1 dog.

Total Cost: $2530.

A Day Each: $200.

For 5 Days: $1000.

Total Amount Paid: $6730 altogether.

Career Expo

In the expo I was at the fire truck testing out the hose at the target, and it was pretty easy to knock it over but it did take a little while and it wasn't to long. I also was learning about bridges and how they are made, and I got to ask some nice question. There were a lot of stuff at the expo and some I couldn't do because I didn't have enough time, and I was very disappointed about it but I got though it at the end.

Paris Terrorists Attack

On Friday in November 13th, the people of Paris suffered through the attacks. They were attacked at a concert, a soccer game and a cafe. Islamic Extremists were responsible.

They attacked the people in France because they were angry at the government.

The people who attacked in Paris will now attack in Syria, and try to kill many people in the fight.

The Syrian people have done nothing wrong but they were born in this country, so they have to do what they are told.

Reflection Week 6

Enjoyed:

This week I have enjoyed all the sports that we have been doing, I also enjoyed my new tech which is food tech and I can’t wait to be a master chef. I have also enjoyed doing art this week we have been doing die and other cool arts, and here is an example of one.

Learning:

For learning this week we have been doing some poetry stuff, and I have completed some of the poems that we needed to do. Some poems are about me, some are about the ocean and about an animal, here is an example.

Titanium Story

When I looked up in the school hallway there were posters ripped off the walls, juice boxes spilled all over the floor, glass windows are shattered and lockers are busted. Plus no one is in the hall but me, the teacher is in the classroom on the phone trying to call the police. When the cop came to the school the teacher ran out of the class and told the him but when he was about to in the school the teacher told him that I was already gone.

While I was at home I sat down to watch some T.V but then when I saw men with guns I ran up stairs, got my bag and packed some stuff then ran down stairs to the back door. But when I go to the door it was locked, I saw the key on the table so I used my powers to get the keys I had just made it out just before they had broken in.

Before they started the game, they needed to warm up first so they did some jogging and it was pretty tiring for them.

Even though it was hard for them, they still go up and ran to the ball and they were doing pretty well.

Although the other team was hard, they kept on going and they scored they were really happy about that.

After they scored, the All Blacks were the ones who won the rugby world cup they were very excited.

 

When they got the rugby world cup, the crowd clapped and cheered and everyone went wild and they were happy.

• If there is an earthquake, you would go under a table and cover yourself up then hold onto the leg of the table and people say it is called drop, cover and hold.

• If there is a fire you would either stop, drop and roll get a bucket of water or get a fire extinguisher if you see one lying around.

• Also if there is an earthquake and you are outside you would cover yourself up like a turtle would do.

• Most importantly in any emergency you would call 111 if you don’t know what to do.

Holiday Writing

My Holiday

On Saturday the 10th of October me, my sister and my mum went out and played Mini golf. We played on a different day as well and I didn't do so well, but this time I wanted to beat my mum because she beat me and my sister and I ended up in second place last time. So on the first round I had a few six’s but there were 18 holes to get though and the scores that you get are from 1 - 6 and the lowest score wins, but I did do a little bit better on the second round to and I did get a hole in one. But mum still beat us and this time I came last place which wasn’t that bad, but to me it was pretty bad. So when we stopped I was a bit annoyed with my mum at first, but then I got over it pretty quickly.

After Mini golf golf, we went to the warehouse and bought some movies. We couldn’t decide on which movies to get, but all I know is that we got the movie HOME and mum got something for herself that we can’t watch. Also we are hoping to can get the movie Inside Out on DVD as well. So we choose the movies that we all decided on and we got some other thing to, like cat toys for my cat and a Kinder surprise egg for a treat. Then when got all the stuff we needed we went and paid for all of it then we left, and when I look at my Kinder surprise egg I got a car toy that was inside.

After that we went to pack n save and got lots of groceries, we got fruits, vegetables, and other bits and pieces. I was looking at everything that was there and I saw lots of stuff that I wanted to get, but I know I can’t have everything because everything cost money. But I got some things that I wanted, and mum got some things for school and things for dinner to. Plus mum said that my and my sister could choose an ice cream to have, me and my sister choose pretty fast. Then when we were done with the shopping, we paid for all of it bit by bit and then we all went home again.

Who loves acting out and making up jokes, to make people crack up and laugh.

Who sees people that are sad about being alone, and are afraid to be themselves.

Who hates being looked at and made fun of, when they are trying to be silly and to have fun.

Who fears of being embarrassed about themselves in front of people, like when they have to do some acting in a play.

Who dreams of being the silliest one at school that everyone likes, and wants to make friends.

Green Screen Film and Media Number 1

Te Mata Athletics

On the Thursday 27th of August, Room 6 did some athletics activities with Te Mata School. Room 6 each had to be in partners with a Te Mata student, and I was with a girl named Rebecca but I don't know her last name. Anyway we had to do 6 athletics activities for our P.E section, and they were Shot put, 100 metre run, 200 metre run,Vortex throw, discus and long jump. We were able to complete all of them and me and Rebecca's scores were...... 5:48 and 4:30 minutes on Shot put, 22 and 18 seconds on 100 metre run, 56 and 47 seconds on 200 metre run, 13:03 and 8:30 minutes on Vortex throw, 11:06 and 6:47 minutes on discus and 2:04 and 1:07 minutes on long jump. So on some of them Rebecca did much better then me, and some I did better then her which is pretty even to us and this is a graph of the times we did in the athletics.

Cross Country

On Friday the 14th of August, all the year 7's and 8's in each house ran the cross country track we did for P.E. I could here the sounds of worrying and nervousness. The year 7's were first. I was shivering like I was getting beat to death. After I heard the horn go I started running as fast as I could. I could see lots of people in front of me and only a few people behind me. I tried to run faster but more people keep running past me. So I stop for a little while. After a while when the game finished I ended up in 71st place which isn't that bad. But I was a little bit disappointed but it was OK because I did my best and that is all it matters.  

Bullying

Everyone hates getting bullied especially me I really hate getting bullied, everywhere I go I here people saying mean stuff about me that hurts my feelings and makes me cry. If you get bullied you should either tell your mum or tell a teacher if you are in school, it will help you with the bullies and you will feel better in no time. I told my Mum about it and she and school worked together and now the bullying has stopped.
