Lipogram about a Parrot

We had to make a Lipogram to describe a parrot using no r's.

I wanted pet so I went to the pet shop and found one I named him Mango he is outstanding at flying and he has a fascinating beak and he makes a loud and annoying sound especially when he has company, he also bites a lot so don’t get too close to him. He is yellow and blue on his back, and his beak and the top of his head.

He mostly lives in a cage but he can go outside if someone is with him and he is knows not to fly away. He is an amazing pet to have with, and you would be lucky to have a pet like that.

Women's Rugby Sevens By: Nicole Thomson In the women’s rugby sevens match, Australia beat NZ 24-17 so they put us in for silver. This was in the finals when Australia beat NZ it was very upsetting. This is the Women’s Rugby Sevens team for NZ. This is the Women’s Rugby Sevens Team for Australia. Australia plays really well and It is very annoying how they beat NZ in the women's rugby sevens.

This is the Men’s Basketball Team playing for USA. 200m Freestyle Swimming By: NIcole Thomson In the 200m freestyle  swimming event Matthew Stanley came second place for NZ with the time of 1:47:37 and he was the only person from NZ who participated. Richie Porte of Australia and Vincenzo Nibali of Italy, who were favorites to win and front-runners in the Tour de France. Both crashed during the Olympic road race on Saturday and came out with various injuries including broken collarbones.

Men’s Basketball By: Nicole Thomson In the men’s basketball, USA played against Venezuela in the olympics and USA crushed Venezuela 113- 69 which is great.       This is the Men’s basketball team for USA. This is the Men’s 200m freestyle swimming Event. AD

Be Specific

Don’t say you saw a butterfly;

Say you saw an interesting creature go by.

Don’t tell me that it flew;

That’s what any butterfly would do;

Say it swooped, sored, glided or lifted into the distance.

Don’t say it’s wings were nice;

Say it was gorgeous;

Or outstanding in the daylight.

Don’t say you hear their wings flapping fast;
Say they were flapping vigorously
Or they were flapping viciously in the grass.

If you want writing to be terrific

Then you need to be more specific.




















For our writing we looked at a be specific poem and tried to make our own one up about an animal, place or thing and I chose a butterfly.
